Movie Maker (formerly known as Windows Live Movie Maker in Windows 7 and Windows 10) is a discontinued video editing software by Microsoft. It is a part of Windows Essentials software suite and offers the ability to create and edit videos as well as to publish them on OneDrive, Facebook, Vimeo, YouTube, and Flickr.
In Movie Maker, you can trim your video, split a video, speed up or slow down a video, fade music in or out, change the start or end point of the music, change the audio volume of a music item, change the volume of the audio in a video, and more.

Movie Maker does not support the video files that use digital rights management (DRM).
For 3GPP video files with AMR audio and 3GPP2 files with AMR or QCELP audio, the images will often play in Movie Maker, but the audio won't.
H.263 video might not play in Movie Maker without installing additional codecs.
Some MPEG‑4 video files might need the necessary audio and video codecs installed on a computer running Windows Vista for playing and processing in Movie Maker.
